To be a CAILGEO GENEALOGIE participant, you just need to send us your work in GEDCOM format (*.ged), if your file exceeds 15MB, you will have to compress it with a utility of type 7zip (*.zip) or gzip (*.gz).
It must have more than 100 individuals to be validated.
If you do not have compression utilities, click on this «lien» to download one for free (works on Windows and Mac).
If your file is too big, contact us by email, we will provide you with access to the server.
Registration is completely free.Your file will need to stay for 6 months before being removed of the site on your request.
To update your data, after entering your codes (login and password) go to the menu "Members" and "Update file".
Before sending us your file some tips to be continued:
Place the department numbers in a field separated, the country in another field. What quickly a loss of data when the programs truncate the places fields.
Check that your file does not contain intimate data of people living or born after 1940 (address, phone number, anecdotes).
Some browsers settings may prevent complete registration.
In this case, you can send us your file by email as an attachment, along with your contact details, username and password. We will create an account for you manually.
